Product Description

The drilling mud pump is known as the heart of drilling operations, and drilling efficiency is directly determined by mud pump performance. It acts as core equipment supplying circulating power for the mud system.

During conventional positive circulation drilling, flushing media including water, mud and polymer fluid are pumped through high-pressure hoses, swivels and the inner bore of drill strings to the drill bit under pressure. This procedure cools the drill bit and transports rock cuttings back to the surface. The piston mud pump is the most mainstream type on site. Driven by power units, the crankshaft rotates and drives pistons to reciprocate inside liners via crossheads. With alternating opening and closing of suction and discharge valves, continuous pressurization and circulation of drilling fluid can be realized.
